For you who have never visitied Ambon, Indonesia, you’ve been missing one of the most beautiful things in life Think of Bali beaches, Puncak roads, but less crowded. Much much less crowded. And oh, the beaches.. not just gorgeous, they’re still pretty much virgins. Rare for people, rare for beaches
Don’t start with the food, they have unique varieties of food that you would gladly break your diet for (personal experience!), and please don’t let me start with the generous and warm people in Ambon.
Recommendations to visit in Ambon: Rumah Kopi Joas (coffee house, yummy food and the best tasting coffee), Natsepa Beach (try the fruit rujak), Tirta Kencana (try their kasbi.. evilish sambal! Nyum!). More food to try? Bagea, roti kenari, kasbi, papeda, various fishes (too bad I can’t eat this – vegetarian), nasi kuning, pisang bola-bola, and ampas tarigu.
Staying for five days, teaching some radio classes for 87.7 Rock FM Ambon gave me the privileges to enjoy all of those above. Had a wonderful trip there, and looking forward to my next visit.

One of the strongest signs of contentment is the ability to share. Whatever it is that you have, big or small, significant or insignificant, could always bring impacts once it is shared.
I asked a good friend of mine, Rene Suhardono Canoneo to help out in writing an article for Aplaus The Lifestyle tabloid in Medan that wanted me to share on the ‘passion’ topic. Rene is the man of passion, so who would be better for this?
Again, what we shared perhaps just a little start for all of our Medan friends, but who knows, it could also be a start of something big.
I wonder why a caddy girl who dated a married man and caused a murder could appear on public with a celebrity attitude?
I wonder why a girl who got very traumatized after being abused by her husband would let her story go public through a TV show?
I wonder why TV station would rather air a meaningless show such as a singing contest for those who can’t sing than a life-changing talk show?
I wonder why someone could steal else’s spouse (no empathy to others, let alone caring about public’s opinion) and complain to public (looking for sympathy), after the marriage didn’t work ?
The answer to my questions could be the same. This world’s getting more insane each day. That’s why we need to hold on tight to what keeps us sane.
I’ve been staying in the hospital for two days now, my mom has been having high body temperature. The doctor said, they can’t say anything until around three to five days. This situation is killing me. I don’t really care how many days required to get healed or how much money needed, but at least I need to know what kind of illness that mom’s suffering from. How do we find a cure if we don’t know what we’re curing?
By the way, this thought also applies to our life. We cannot heal our heart if we don’t know which part of our heart that is hurting. We may think it’s the whole part, but we could be wrong. The same thing works for forgiveness. How can we forgive if we don’t know whom to forgive?
Everything comes back to the root of the problem. Do you know what (or who) your problem is?
